Introduction
S550 is a 4-door sedan with a seating capacity for five passengers. A buyer has two different options for drive-train configuration.
The S550 version is available as Base S550 4dr Sedan and Base S550 4dr All-Wheel Drive 4matic Sedan. A rear wheel or all-wheel drive is again an option.
Engine Specs and Performance
Both the versions have the same engine and displacement, both possess a V8 engine, with a displacement of 5.5 liters. They deliver an output power of 382 hp and torque of around 391 lb-ft.
The only difference is in the drive- Base S550 4dr Sedan comes with a rear wheel drive-train, while Base S550 4dr All-Wheel Drive 4matic sedan comes with four wheel drive-train. It is mated to an automatic 7-speed transmission.

Both the versions have the same fuel tank capacity of 23.8 gallons. The EPA rating of Base S550 4dr Sedan is 14/22 mpg in city/highways. The Base S550 4dr All-Wheel Drive 4matic Sedan has an EPA rating of 14/21 mpg in city/highways.
